  8. Let us go on to maturity. Hebrews 6:1

  9. 1 Peter 2:2,3 Grow up in our Salvation Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

  10. I may grow older but I refuse to grow up!

  11. What Spiritual Maturity is Not • Being baptized a long time ago • Going to church every week • Hanging out with Christians • Keeping a set of rules

  12. Spiritual Maturity Spiritual maturity is an ongoing process, empowered by the Holy Spirit, by which we become like Jesus in wisdom, discipline and love.

  13. Spiritual Growthis an ongoing process Philippians 3:12-14 … I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consi-der myself yet to have taken hold of it.

  14. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

  15. Ephesians 3:16,17 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

  21. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,

  22. Romans 12:1-2 but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.

  23. 2 Thessalonians 2:16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

  25. James 3:2 We all stumble in many ways.If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

  26. Romans 6:12-13 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

  27. 13 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.

  29. James 2:8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, `Love your neighbor as yourself' you are doing right.
