  3. What is Memorial Day? • Memorial Day (originally Decoration Day) is a day set aside to remember those who died in service to the US. • USMemorialDay.org

Your Mission • You will listen to an NPR broadcast about Memorial Day while you: • write a rough draft of the interior message to our fallen soldiers, • sketch a cover design using appropriate symbols for Memorial Day, • use a 5.5”x8.5” piece of paper to create a card befitting a fallen soldier in the service of his or her country.
