Lately, we have been struggling with listening and following directions and I’m hearing A LOT of students say, “I CAN’T DO IT MYSELF.” I know we have learned so much this year and trying hard needs to be how the rest of the year should go. Please discuss this with your child and talk about ways to improve. Also, we are now on SIGHT WORD List 14 and some children are doing well with sight word recognition, however, some need work. It is expected that each list be practiced and learned each night to ensure success with our end of the year goal of 220 sight words. It is IMPARATIVE that students practice their sight word list and book each night. If your child has another person other than you that can help them, it would be beneficial! Thanks for your support with this matter! We are out of school during the week of NOVEMBER 25-29. Please provide reading and math opportunities, such as a trip to the library or grocery store, for practicing reading and sight word vocabulary and counting skills. I want all children to continue to improve each day. I know the skills we’ve learned will amaze and surprise you when your child gets to apply them to real life activities.  Have a WONDERFUL and MEMORABLE Thanksgiving week with your child!
