  1. Introduction of the unit Rational Algebraic Expressions

  2. Essential Question • Why do we need Rational Algebraic Expression?

  3. Unit Question • In what way that Rational Algebraic Expression relate in real life situation? • How do you perform operations with rational expressions?

  4. Content Question • What do rational algebraic expressions show you? • What is the importance of equation in solving word problems? • What are the parameters and how can they be solved? • When can you say that the equation is correct?

  5. Learning Objectives At the end of the module, learner will be able to: • Describe and illustrate rational algebraic expressions. • Interpret zero and negative exponents. • Evaluate and simplify algebraic expressions involving integral exponents. • Simplify rational algebraic expressions. • Perform operations on rational algebraic expressions. • Simplify complex fractions. • Solve problems involving rational algebraic expressions.

  6. Unit Summary Students on their own rate – related problems using models involving rational algebraic expressions. They will simplify rational algebraic expressions and perform operations on rational algebraic expressions correctly. And they will present creatively the solution on real-life problems involving rational algebraic expressions. Student will become algebraist to formulate different kinds of formulas to solve the real-life problems.

  7. Unit Summary They will create Power Point Presentation to present their manpower plan in constructing a house. Inside the plan is how many workers are needed to complete the project, daily wage of the workers, how many days can be finish the project and how much can be spend for the entire job.
