Biographical Sketch • Birth: August 12, 1911, Mexico City, Mexico • Death: April 20, 1993, Mexico City, Mexico because of lung cancer. • Married to Valentina Ivanova from 1936 to 1966 (her death) and they had one kid named Mario Arturo Moreno Ivanova. • 2 major events: Starred in a movie called Around the World in 80 Days. Which won many awards such as Best Dramatic Motion Picture at the golden globes. Also, Cantinflas won two golden globes awards, won for comedy and one for best motion pictures actor. • Cantinflases de Mexico. • Cantinflases simpatico.

  3. achievements • One important achievement is starring in the movie Around the World in 80 Days. He played the part of Passepartout, a comic valet to a snobby man. This was his first movie filmed in the U.S. This movie helped him win many awards and he became famous worldwide. His performance was ranked most memorable.
