  1. Welcome to Seven Stars Adolescence can present many challenges for teens who are falling behind their peers due to the neurological and developmental lags associated with ASD and ADHD. Seven Stars is a premier residential program for teens with neurodevelopmental disorders. Whether diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder to date or not, Seven Stars’ students are those who struggle socially, emotionally and academically. Seven Stars’ treatment model is a revolutionary hybrid. By combining the stabilizing and assessment aspects of a multidisciplinary assessment center, the experiential learning of an adventure program, and the therapy and classroom academics of residential treatment, our program provides a very comprehensive solution for teens struggling with neurodevelopmental disorders. We put it all together into one comprehensive program driven by experienced experts on how best to assess and help your special student. Seven Stars has a sophisticated, evidence based, theoretical and clinical foundation. Some were too full or too far away; others weren't appropriate for one reason or another. But we found one school about 90 minutes from our home where family friends knew kids who were thriving. We toured the campus twice and were taken by the clearly happy staff and students, academics and behavioral system, the beautiful countryside, animal therapy, and support for the entire family. Even with all that, it was bittersweet to overhear Adam tell his interviewers that he wanted to enroll for his parents — and then have them accept him on the spot. Seven Stars was founded by Dr. Gordon L. Day, a psychologist and leading expert in assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders. Seven Stars’ outcome-driven, innovative aspergers and autism program design offers two phases. Stabilization is a seven to 14-day acute care stabilization experience for those students who are in crisis and need psychiatric, emotional or behavioral stabilization. Assessment offers a weekly rotation including three days of residential treatment and academic life and four days of outdoor adventure therapy activities.
