  1. Magnetecs Corporation September 2011

  2. Magnetecs Corporation The Catheter Guidance Control and Imaging (CGCI) Platform: • Precise, automated electromagnetic guidance and control of catheters and other tools targeted for use in multiple fields: • Electrophysiology • Gastroenterology • Interventional Cardiology • Neurology • Ob/Gyn

  3. Company History • CGCI is the creation of Josh Shachar, Magnetecs CEO and CTO, a noted scientist, inventor and mathematician with more than 20 years experience in the fields of advanced medical technologies and military guidance systems • Magnetecs technology roots: Department of Defense, electronic guidance and magnetic systems • In 1996 Mr. Shachar initiated development of a catheter control system guided by electromagnetic technology, integrated with advanced imaging and mapping equipment • Magnetecs was founded in 2003 with a world class team of scientists and engineers

  4. Magnetecs Profile • Major medical device manufacturer became a strategic investor in 2005 • Completed CGCI™ preclinical trials, with data presented at Heart Rhythm Society in 2009 • Successfully completed first-in-man clinical trials initiated in October 2010 at La Paz Hospital in Madrid • Performed Live Case Presentation at EHRA Conference in June 2011 • 67 patents filed to-date, 27 issued. • CE Marking expected in November2011 for commercialization in Europe • Completed sale and installation of CGCI system to Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, in September 2011

  5. Catheter Navigation Methods in Electrophysiology (EP) • Manual • Long learning curve • Requires high level of experience/skill • Success dependent on dexterity of physician • 1st Generation Robotic • Large sheath diameter restricts mobility • Limited regions of access within the heart • Challenging safety profile due to large, stiff sheath design • Long, painful learning curve (up to 100 cases) • No efficacy and efficiency advantage to manual approach

  6. CGCI Catheter Navigation System CGCI Electromagnetic System

  7. Catheter Navigation Methods in Electrophysiology (EP) • Automated with CGCI • Clinical advantages • Stable and precise with real time navigation • Reproducible cases • MNS proven safety profile • Continuous development of automatism tools • Short learning curve due to intuitive handling on a haptic controller • Unlimited access to all regions within the heart (right upper pulmonary vein) • Unlimited retrograde approach possible • Efficacy due to electromagnetic field with torque, force and variable field strength • Efficient with SJM Navx integration and magnetic standard catheters, re-sterilizable accelerator • Open platform allows several other indications Construction advantages • No shielding • Hybrid lab functionality • No influence to MRI

  8. Magnetic Technology • Lobed Magnetic Field • Spatial Force Fields: A shaped “lobed” magnetic force field invisibly and benignly grasps the distal end of the magnetic catheter. Patent: EP 1 895 930 BL Apparatus for Shaped Magnetic Field Control for CGCI

  9. Magnetic Technology • 3D Magnetic Lobe • Magnetic Lensing • Magnetic field as Light • Torque & Force Force Torque

  11. Installation Madrid La Paz, Spain University Hospital La Paz, Madrid Spain The CGCI installation at the University Hospital La Paz in Madrid is an example using a limited space. The main O.R. is 605x837cm, or 50.6 square meters. The CGCI is placed close to the wall, since there doesn’t need to be space for a respirator. This allows enough room to bring in patients from the Preparation Room and around the foot of the bed. The Madrid installation includes the X-Ray Tray and Gantry System, pictured above the CGCI unit. The 9 square meters power room is immediately adjacent to the O.R. The Control Room is 24 square meters, which is sufficient for an investigational site where additional space is required for multiple fellows and visitors.

  12. Magnetecs Management Josh Shachar President and CEO Dr. Eli Gang,MD Chief Medical Officer Frank Adell Executive Vice President Eytan J. Lombroso Vice Chairman Clive Zickel,FCA Chief Financial Officer Daniel Saks Sr. Vice President Corporate Affairs Michael Heuer Vice President Sales & Marketing Europe

  13. Efficient Use of Capital • Typical robotic systems for EP have utilized over $300 million and are still not profitable • Magnetecs has utilized only $25 million to date since • Experience forged on tightly controlled DOD projects • Talented and efficient scientific and engineering team • Minimal SG&A with emphasis on engineering design and improvements • Aided by partnership with SJM • Efficient use of capital contributed significantly to shareholder value
