Writing-Based Curriculum • Goal = for students to become flexible, fluid, and fluent with the English language • Exposes students to MANY genres when reading and writing • Asks students to uncover, not cover, meaning • Privileges more process, less product • Features self-reflection • Encourages collaboration and public speaking • Structured around a portfolio
