  1. IA- Evaluation – Use the following exercises to direct your evaluation report on mechanical design Mechanical Design – HL Topic 10 1. Find examples in the workshop or on the internet of the following mechanisms – Lever, screw, wheel, gears, pulley, wedge, inclined plane. 2. Find specific examples of: class three, class two, class three levers, completeevaluation tests on the followinglevers (use technology student to help you. 3. How to calculate efficiency of mechanical systems: 4. Gears allow us to control the speed and angle of rotation in machines. They come in various types: Rack and pinion, bevel and worm gears. Find some of your own examples to help you to answer the following worksheets (use technology student to help you). Draw a diagram of a worm gear and find an example of a product that would use it. 5. There are many different forms of motion: linear, rotary, intermittent, oscillating, reciprocating and irregular. Find examples of each in real life situations. Mechanical Advantage, Velocity Ratio, EfficiencyMA = load/effortVR = Distance moved by effort/ distance moved by loadE= MA/VR
