  7. 10. Literary Terms • Epic– A long story often told in verse, involving heroes and gods. They provide a portrait of an entire culture, of legends, beliefs, values, laws, arts, and ways of life of a people.

  9. 13. Sutton Hoo • Excavated in 1939, the Sutton Hoo is the site of an Anglo Saxon burial ship. It was undisturbed upon its discovery and contained a wealth of treasure.
