  4. Overview • $48.12 Billion for TRANSPORTATION • $27.5 Billion for Highways • $8.4 Billion for Transit • $9.3 Billion for Rail • $1.5 Billion for Discretionary Program • $1.3 Billion for Aviation • $0.12 Billion Misc. Other Transportation 4

Requirements/Provisions • Eligible Uses • Restoration, repair, construction and other activities under Surface Transportation Program • Passenger and freight rail transportation and port infrastructure projects described under TIFIA • Federal share up to 100% • No waivers of Federal Requirements • Use It or Lose Provisions- Strict Obligation deadlines 5

  6. Project Selection • States in establishing priorities for funding; priority is given to projects that are: • Three year completion date (February 12, 2012) • Economically Distressed Areas (map by county) • Expeditious Project Delivery • Maximizing job creation and economic benefit 6

  12. FHWA Stewardship & Oversight • Delivery of ARRA is top priority for FHWA • Projects must follow all Federal requirements • Projects will be advanced under maximum flexibility • Projects will be administered in accordance with our normal Stewardship Agreements 12
