Vision 2020 – Texas Long Range Plan for Technology • Established in 2006 • Hopes to extend the school year through online learning and virtual relationships • 24/7 access to digital tools and resources • State provides infrastructure and finances • Professional development for teachers to meet the SBEC standards • STaR Chart monitors progress

  6. Progress Level - Early Tech • Students occasionally use the computer • Teachers meet SBEC standards at 10% • No campus technology plan • Ten students per computer

  7. Progress Level – Developing Tech • Student use technology on an individual basis • 40% of teachers meet the SBEC standards for Technology • Campus technology plan is aligned with the Long-Range Plan. • Full –time district technology coordinator • 5-9 students per computer

Progress Level – Advanced Tech • Technology is used by students to gather data and evaluate information • Technology integrated into teaching and learning • Regular use of the internet • 60% of educators meet SBEC standards • Full time Technology Director • One technical support staff per 500 computers • 4 students per computer
