  2. Chapter 2 What types of sites can the owner try to acquire: Single Lot -- Just as it sounds no additional parcels. Parcel -- a defined piece of real estate, usually resulting from the division of a large area of land. It can range in size from a small lot to a gigantic ranch. Tract -- An extended area of land. Acreage -- An area of land measured in acres. These are roughly defined by the size of the property (from smallest to largest)
