Definitions • SBI Small Business Institute • POY Project of the Year • Faculty Lead School Faculty member listed on the POY Entry – only 2 entries per Faculty Lead are allowed. • Project Type * Feasibility/Business Plan • * Comprehensive * Specialized (Business Function) • Category * Undergraduate • * Graduate

Small Business Institute“Project of the Year”Submission Process • POY Submission Form is a single entry screen. • Attaching the PDF POY Entry and clicking submit at the bottom of the screen will take the entrant to the Affidavit and Client Release form. Once this is completed and submitted – the entrant will be brought back to the POY Entry screen to enter a 2nd entry – or click link to return to the SBI Website

Small Business Institute“Project of the Year” Post Submission • When the deadline for entries close, the POY Manager will send out instructions for each Faculty Lead and other Volunteer Judges on requirements for judging. • Items sent : • 1) Instructions for Judging • 2) Projects to Review (PDF Format) • 3) Link to Judging Forms

  5. Small Business Institute“Project of the Year” Announcements • When Judging is completed. All Faculty Leads will be informed of entry status. • Entry Status definitions: • Entry is Top 3 and will be awarded at the next SBI Annual Conference • Entry is Honorable Mention and will receive certificate. • Entry did not place in top 10 within project type & category.
