  2. Do you know anyone addicted? • What kind of person becomes an addict? Someone popular, with a lot of friends; or someone who is different from the rest, estranged from the popular crowd, with only a few friends, or none at all?

  3. Historyof marijuana Marijuana has been around since roughly 2737 B.C It was used for medical purposes throughout China to India. Once marijuana reached the America’s through the Spanish in 1850 to 1942, In 1970 The Controlled Substances Act banned the use of marijuana for medical or any purposes

  4. Facts Marijuana Helps with nausea. Marijuana is the most commonly abused illegal substance worldwide. The negative long term effects of marijuana are numerous Most common way of use is smoking. Can’t over dose on marijuana Can be prescribed as a prescription drug.

  5. Smoking marijuana The most common way of use is smoking, to smoke marijuana you usually roll it into a joint, or smoke it through a bong or a pipe. When smoked the effects beginning immediately.

  6. Legalization of marijuana There is a big debate on the legalization of marijuana but I think if it is legalized it will make the drug wars worse and the crimes will probably go up. Also if it is legalized everyone will want all the other heavy drugs legalized too.

For a first conviction, if you had less than 30 grams of marijuana, the maximum penalties are a fine of $1,000 or 6 months in jail, or both. But the penalty for a first offense is usually much less.

  14. The war on marijuana The war on drugs was started over marijuana. We continue the war of marijuana every day. The focus of the drug war in the United States has shifted significantly over the past decade from hard drugs to marijuana, which now accounts for nearly half of all drug arrests nationwide, according to an analysis of federal crime statistics

  15. The increase of marijuana use The increase among young people is increasing daily and will continue to grow.

  16. Marijuana and the brain • The THC acts on cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors, but other areas of the brain have few or none at all.

  17. Baking with marijuana When you eat marijuana in baked goods the effects take longer to begin but the effects usually last longer in your system. The marijuana usually takes a higher effect in your body.

  21. The Truth • The truth is anyone can become addicted to marijuana at any point of their life but the most common reason people become addicted is through peer pressure. If you know anyone that is addicted to marijuana get them help and keep helping them until they don’t need your help anymore.
