  9. 4. Grace Orientation

  10. 2 Cor 12:9,“And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”

  11. Principle: What God leaves in your life is for your benefit.

  12. God's grace is the true way to remove the problem. It may not remove the person or situation but it will remove the pain and suffering you are experiencing in your soul.

  13. When we remember the grace that God has given to us, (Eph 2:8-9), it should humble us. With true humility we can then begin to think of others.

  14. If I have been forgiven for all of the pain I caused God as a result of my sins, I should be able to forgive those who have sinned against me.Mat 6:12, 14-15

  15. God deals with us in grace and we should likewise treat others in grace.

  16. Grace is dependence on God's wisdom rather than on your own desires and lack of wisdom.Eph 3:20

  17. In Grace we are able to impersonally love those who have betrayed us, which means forgive and forget, and move on.

  18. We aren't commanded to like them but we are commanded to impersonally love them.Rom 12:20-21; Phil 4:11-13.

  19. 5. Doctrinal Orientation

  20. D.O. is when based on your (PMA) of Bible Doctrine you have confidence for today and regarding future events.

  21. 1 Thes 4:13,“We do not grieve as others who have no hope.”

  22. Heb 11:1,“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for (that you are confident in), the conviction of things not seen.”

  23. If we do not know the promises found in the Bible, we will not have this knowledge and encouragement in us.

  24. By having D.O. we can look beyond the physical and present, and understand things from God's perspective.Gal 5:22-23; Heb 4:12

  25. Gal 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit (PSD #2 plus D.O.) is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

  26. D.O. leads you to evaluate the thoughts and motives of your soul, leading you to evaluate your own life and then develop new motivation to God’s glory.

  27. Phil 2:13, “For God (ref. PSD #2 and #5) is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”

  28. D.O. establishes the FLOT line in your soul.

  29. 2 Thes 3:3,“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.”
