What is HAWCE? • Your local best practice club What does HAWCE do? • Encourages best practice in the construction industry and also networking so as to promote the development of the construction industry • A pan industry body for all those involved in construction from clients, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers to consultants • HAWCE is supported by WMCCE who offer, amongst other things, advice and business improvement training and have helped hundreds of businesses across the Midlands

Events we have held in the last 12 months include: • Renewable energy seminar at Worcester Bosch with speakers from Bosch, Eco2Solar, and Encraft • Tour of apprentices training college and talks on funding available for taking on apprentices • Mansell’s zero harm health and safety journey together with a legal update

  4. Events held in the last 12 months cont. • Meet the buyer events • “Exemplar” type projects such as the Worcester History and Library centre. • Efficient construction techniques at Thomas Vale’s Forum Training Centre

Forthcoming Events • Alternative Building Technologies 31st March 2011, Bishops Wood Centre near Ombersley • The impact of ecological issues on development and construction 12th May 2011, Worcestershire Wildlife Centre • Planning and Localism, Urban Design, a tour of Whiting Landscape’s nursery, and summer barbecue 23rd June 2011, Whiting Landscape

  6. Membership and sponsorship • Membership: 1st January to 31st December • Corporate (up to 4 persons/event): £120 • Individual: £35 • “On the door” entry fee £10 (for students and the unemployed: free)

Sponsorship HAWCE is a voluntary funded not-for-profit organisation which receives no funding from industry or Constructing Excellence and thus relies on membership and sponsorship for its lifeline. If you would like to support HAWCE, then please sponsor our website. • Website Sponsorship - £150 Website sponsorship runs annually from 1st January to the 31st December. It includes your company logo on all the web pages of the site with a link to your own website. If you would like to arrange or discuss website sponsorship, then please do not hesitate contacting our Treasurer, Peter Bryant, at pbryant@routetwolimited.com • Event Sponsorship Our events are normally sponsored by the hosting speaker or organisation and is normally the cost of the venue, buffet and refreshments.
