Today’s Session • Purpose:To gain an understanding of the features and functionality associated with Enterprise Analytics. • Objectives: At the end of this course participants will be able to: • Understand the capabilities of Enterprise Analytics • Create a new site within the Admin Console • Utilize Rollup Reporting and Segmentation within the Analytics and Explore Applications • Broadcast features across multiple sites

  3. Lesson 1: Understanding Enterprise Analytics

  4. Lesson 1: Objectives • At the end of this lesson participants will be able to: • Understand the capabilities associated with Enterprise Analytics • Create a new site and define attributes within that site

Enterprise Analytics • Overview: Capability enabled within the Web Analytics Platform which allows for aggregated multi-site data rollups. • Examples of Usage: • Access a central view for multiple sites • Create rollup reports based on certain criteria across multiple sites • Broadcast certain features across all sites with one step

  6. How Enterprise Analytics is Used • Business Case: We are a global hotel company that has many sites which are managed by geographic location. We have a need to see how all of our sites are performing and how they perform at an individual level.

Enterprise Analytics Reporting • Overview: Available within the Web Analytics Application under Reports > Site Rollups and across all other enabled applications. • Examples of Usage: • Obtain a list of all sites which comprise one global ID • Zoom into each site alias to understand specific marketing channel, page, product, event, and geographical data • Broadcast certain features across all sites with one step “Site Rollups” node

  14. Rollup Reports • Overview: Create reports to view performance across multiple sites within Analytics and Explore. • Examples of Usage: • Access standard views to quickly gain site information • Create custom views • Saved and publish custom views

Site Segmentation • Overview: Define Segment criteria and apply it to multiple sites within Analytics and Explore. • Examples of Usage: • Cross compare site performance at a granular level • Understand common behaviors and actions across sites for global optimization Apply “Rolled up” Segments for non-Topline Reports(e.g. Marketing, Content, Products) • Site-based criteria • Page View • Event • Product view • Cart • Order

  22. Broadcasting • Overview: Publish customized features in order to a quickly and easily share information. • Examples of Usage: • Define a view, segment, workbook, annotation, or alert at a global or site level • Share information with multiple sites by creating custom views at a global level

  23. Lesson 3 Wrap-Up Answer the following questions: • I can create a Workbook and share it globally with all of my sites? • If I create an annotation I will need to recreate it under each site in which the annotation is applicable?
