  3. COMPLEX SENTENCES 1. Although Ruby did not take very much money, she did rob the bank. SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTIONS 2. Although Ruby did rob the bank, she did not take very much money. Subordinating conjunctions help hide what’s in the first part of the sentence.
