  2. GGTB • Exodus 23:19 • “Bring the best of the first fruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God.”

  3. GGTB Exodus 23:19 Sunday, August 21, 2011 Jim Beasley

  4. Honoring God With Your First Fruits • GGTB means Give God the Best • Romans 12:1 • “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.”

  5. Honoring God With Your Heart • Deuteronomy 5:8 • “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,”

  6. Honoring God With Your Heart • Deuteronomy 16:16-17 • Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No man should appear before the LORD empty-handed: Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the LORD your God has blessed you.

  7. Honoring God With My Life • 2 Corinthians 5:9 • “So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.” • Colossians 1:10 • “And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,” • Ephesians 5:10 • “and find out what pleases the Lord.” • Proverbs 4:23 • “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
