IFTN AMS Report ACCOMPLISHMENTS: • Organized subcommittee membership • Established subcommittee’s “Roles and Responsibilities” ‘charter’ document • Established a regular teleconference schedule • Working on draft guidelines document for acquiring IFTN imagery • Developing an operating plan for the completion of the final acquisition guidelines document

IFTN AMS Report Acquisition Management Subcommittee’s Roles and Responsibilities: • Establish contracting/agreement procedures and policy guidelines • Establish guidelines for state & local procurement through federal contracts • Establish requirements for use in agreements when states assume production and QA • Establish a standard approach for documenting changes or exceptions • Serve as the POC for IFTN contracting issues

  5. IFTN AMS Report IFTN AMS Teleconferences Held the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am Mountain Time Teleconferences provide a forum for open discussion of current topics and issues. All decisions are made on the basis of consensus agreement.

IFTN AMS Report Acquisition Guidelines Document • Preparing draft “Guidelines for Acquiring National Orthoimagery” document • Combined the 1m and hi-res programs into one document • Progress: developing outline structure, building content from outline, version management, attempting to keep document brief with multiple appendices

  7. IFTN AMS Report AMS Operating Plan • Developing a timeline to accomplish assigned tasks • Establishing schedule and milestones • Completion Deadline: October 2008 in time for the 1m 2009 flight season

  8. IFTN AMS Report Other Matters of Interest Clarified the roles between the Programs Subcommittee and the Acquisitions Subcommittee • Programs: provides annual state plans and initiates agreements • Acquisitions: provides guidance to execute agreements through contracting agencies
