  1. Adding And Subtracting Fractions (GCF/LCM) Brian Rodriguez Austin James Donckels May, 30 , 2008

  2. Adding Fractions (GCF/LCM) • 3/16 + 5/24 = ?????????? • First, we had to put 3/16 on top of 5/24. Then we had to find the equivalent denominators by multiplying the numbers. After that we added the numerators together and kept the denominator the same. If possible you can also simplify.

  3. Work

  4. Subtracting Fractions (GCF/LCM) . A fruit salad recipe uses 4 3/8 cups of oranges, 2 ¾ cups of apples, and 3 1/3 cups peaches. How many more cups of oranges does it use than cups of apples? . First, we set it up by subtracting 4 3/8 to 2 ¾ . Then, we had to find the equivalent fraction . After that we used the method that what you do to one side you do to the other. Finally, we got the answer , but we also simplified it.

  5. WORK

  6. WHY?? • This skill is important because chefs may need it to measure delicious food. • It may be used in your life by buying stuff like cake mixes because it must be measured into bowls.

  7. What did you like and dislike about the class? • I liked how you gave us pizza parties when we did good on tests. • I liked how you give us limited homework. • I didn’t like how you made lunch intervention because kids deserve what they get not making it worse. • I liked how you always care about our grade and how you give us projects to make it better.
