  1. Powerplay Skating Lanes F3 D2 F2 Description Overall Philosophy: Player AND Puck movement; set-up for a GOOD shot and scoring chance; force the penalty killers to move; open up the ice and passing lanes by getting the penalty killers to move; skate and move and pass to force the penalty killers to skate and move; don’t wait until you have to move or pass - F1(QB) sets up on halfboards on off-wing (left shot sets up on right hashmark) * Pass options: F2 for give and go, F2 for rotation, F3 for one timer, D1 for quick return, D1 for pass to D2, D2 for one timer * Attack options: move into shooting lane to shoot or pass to F2 (rotation), F3 (one timer) or D2 (one timer) * Get to set-up spot whenever puck comes in opposite side or D2 or F3 handle the puck on the opposite side - F2 down low, also on off-wing (left shot if QB is left-handed shot) * Become a target for QB; move!; rotate with QB to open up ice and passing lanes * Move to post on shots from the D, especially those from D2 * Get puck to QB off rebounds if shot isn’t available - F3 off far post, ideally on off-wing for one-timer option * Occupy D and goalie down low; move! * Go to front of net on shots from D (need to be in front with stick on ice) * Rotate back for backside one-timer * Get puck to QB spot when shot isn’t available (e.g. when puck goes to your corner, rim it around to QB) - D1 ideally on off-side (left shot on right side) * NOT a shooter, unless they slide over - D2 is on off-side (right shot on left side) * D2 is the target shooter * If D2 is forced to move to far boardsrim the puck around to F2 or the QB D1 F1/QB
