  1. The Business of Music Promotion • By: Demetri Nerris

  2. The Music Promoter • Works with bands • Works with Record Companies • Works with Advertising media • Puts on Shows

  3. Some Examples Are: Live Nation, Rush Productions, Premiere Festivals, and iTunes

  4. Live Nation • Live Nation is the biggest promotional company in the World. • They Formulate Concerts and events around similar signed artists. • They generate revenue from these events and then continue to promote music they can make money from

  5. How Well Live Nation Really Does!

  6. iTunes • Biggest music market in the world • Advertises selected artists and promotes free content • Because it is so big anything advertised will get popular fast. • Their Advertising is simple rectangular boxes that are not cluttered like most sites.

  7. The iPod • This is the source of itunes success. The iPod allows you to take the music you like on the go. it makes buying songs much more worthwhile rather than carrying a bunch of CD’s around.

  8. D Entertainment • This is my company which will be locally based at first and then move upward and expand to a national and international company. • We will promote artists and help them go through the ranks to get signed. • As a company we will take 15% of all sales made by the artist. • Above all this my main goal is to promote and bring positive musc to the for-front of the music industry.

  9. Profits • My company will be based off the artists success and their talent. • We will obviously not sign a band we know we wont make money with. • 15% of all sales by artists and 40% of all concert sales.
