  1. Rémi Marcoux Rémi Marcoux, C.M., O.Q., F.C.A. Founder and Board Member Rémi Marcoux founded Transcontinental in 1976 and was Chief Executive Officer until 2004, when he became Executive Chairman of the Board; he remained in that position until February 16, 2012, when he decided to slow the pace of his work somewhat. He is still a member of the Board. "My dream," says Mr. Marcoux, "was to found a company that would reflect my values, including respect for employees and partners, customer service that exceeds expectations, integrity, innovation and passion for doing the job right."Since the 1976 acquisition of a small printshop with about 30 employees, TC Transcontinental's history has been marked by success. Largest printer and leading provider of media and marketing activation solutions in Canada, TC Transcontinental creates products and services that allow businesses to attract, reach and retain their target customers.  The Corporation specializes in print and digital media, the production of magazines, newspapers, books and custom content, mass and personalized marketing, interactive and mobile applications, TV production and door-to-door distribution. TC Transcontinental was inducted into the Québec Business Hall of Fame in 2009 and today, TC Transcontinental has a workforce of about 9,500 employees.As a man who believes in giving back to society, Mr. Marcoux was co-head of the Centraide campaign in Greater Montreal in 2006. He is an Associate Governor of the Board of Governors of the University of Montreal, and the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal (HEC Montréal) designated his arts management foundation the Carmelle and Rémi Marcoux Chair in Arts Management. In February 2013, Mr. Marcoux and TC Transcontinental donated $2.5 million to the Campus Montréal campaign. This money will be used to create the Rémi-Marcoux Entrepreneurial Track program. Mr. Marcoux sits on the recently established Advisory Committee for the program, and on the Human Resource Committee of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation.Rémi Marcoux has received numerous awards and distinctions for his achievements. The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation recently paid tribute to Mr. Marcoux for his generosity and significant contribution to the development of the Institute and the Foundation. In April 2012 he received the Career Award from the Quebec Employers’ Council. In 2008 he was appointed to the Order of Québec and the Academy of Great Montrealers. Mr. Marcoux was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2007. He received the Harry V. Quadracci VISION Award in 2007 and was inducted into the North American Printing Industry Hall of Fame in 2006. He was named the fourth business leader most respected by his peers in Canada in 2005 and received an honorary doctorate from HEC Montreal in 2003.

  2. Isabelle Marcoux Isabelle Marcoux Chair of the Board, Transcontinental Inc. Isabelle Marcoux has been Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc. since February 2012. She was Vice Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc. from 2007 and Vice President, Corporate Development from 2004. In this latter role, she was responsible for the strategic planning process and mergers and acquisitions. Between 1997 and 2004, Ms. Marcoux was Director, Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as Director, Legal Affairs and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Before joining Transcontinental, she was a lawyer with McCarthy Tétrault LLP. Ms. Marcoux is a member of the boards of George Weston Limited, Rogers Communications Inc. and Power Corporation of Canada. She is also a member of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. In 2013, she was Honorary Patron of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Ball. In the past, she has also co-chaired a number of fundraising events, including the 2011 Grand Bal des Vins-Cœurs for the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation and the 2012 Lobster Lunch for the Tel-Jeunes Foundation. She has been actively involved in a number of fundraising campaigns for organizations such as the Fondation du Maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse, the Montreal Children’s Hospital, United Way, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Tel-Jeunes Foundation.   In 2010 and 2012, Ms. Marcoux received the prestigious Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100TM award, in the Corporate Executives category. The Top 100 is Canada’s most visible award for the country’s highest achieving female executives in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. On December 13, 2010, Ms. Marcoux was named Personality of the week by La Presse and Radio-Canada in recognition of an outstanding career that has earned her positions on the boards of major Canadian companies – an achievement few women can claim. In 2007, she was a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 under 40TM award, a national program which honours every year 40 Canadians under 40 who have reached a significant level of success in a private corporation, in the public service or as a member of a non-profit organization. Ms. Marcoux holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Law, both from McGill University. She has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1995. She is married to François Olivier and they have two children, Jeanne and Philippe.

  3. François Olivier François Olivier President and Chief Executive Officer Transcontinental Inc. François Olivier became President and Chief Executive Officer of TC Transcontinental on February 20, 2008, after demonstrating leadership and vision as Chief Operating Officer of the different sectors of the Corporation. This prior position in his career as senior executive of the Corporation enabled him to grasp the potential of the Printing and Media sectors and to envision a most effective synergy that has proven to be highly productive for TC Transcontinental, ensuring it many avenues of development for years to come. Since joining the Corporation in 1993, François Olivier has risen through the ranks by delivering results that exceeded the expectations of both senior managers and employees. From 2005 to 2007, he was president of the Printing Products and Services Sector. Mr. Olivier has been a member of TC Transcontinental's Executive Management Committee since 2005. François Olivier is the acknowledged architect of TC Transcontinental's breakthrough into newspaper printing, first in Canada and then in North America. He also headed several projects to implement new print technologies involving a total investment of more than $700 million from 2007 to 2010. These initiatives resulted in a modernized print network, the construction of an ultramodern printing plant in California and the creation of the Canada-wide hybrid flyer and newspaper printing platform that was fully operational by late 2010. Under his leadership as president and CEO, Transcontinental's digital revenues have more than doubled, from $78 million in 2008 to close to $200 million in 2012. A determined businessman, François Olivier is a member of the new generation of managers who focus on innovation, teamwork and customer satisfaction. Growth and performance are central to his management philosophy. It is his belief that the corporate culture is key to TC Transcontinental's growth. François Olivier has a B.Sc. from McGill University and completed the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School.

  4. Nelson Gentiletti Nelson Gentiletti Chief Financial and Development Officer, Transcontinental Inc. A member of the Executive Management Committee, Nelson Gentiletti joined TC Transcontinental on December 5, 2011. His duties include responsibility for the Corporation's financial direction, the strategic planning process and innovation, mergers and acquisitions, and information technology. He is also responsible for setting up a structure to improve financial and administrative processes, as well as overseeing the upgrading of information technology in support of the Corporation's growth. Until the fall of 2011, Nelson Gentiletti was Chief Operating Officer of Transat AT. Prior to that, for a number of years he held senior finance positions in the insurance and telecommunications sectors. Mr. Gentiletti is a graduate of Concordia and McGill universities in Montreal. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and sits on the boards of directors of Groupe Sportscene inc., KnowledgeOne and St. Mary's Hospital Foundation in Montreal

  5. Bruno Leclaire Bruno Leclaire Chief Digital Officer, TC Media A man of vision, Bruno is a veteran manager with more than 25 years of experience and an impressive and inspiring track record. He is known in the digital industry for his creativity, entrepreneurial skills and great expertise. He provides strategic leadership in the development of TC Media’s digital offering to ensure the Corporation’s growth targets are met. Bruno is responsible for all digital services – both business operations and technology - and he makes sure the business is structured so that customer expectations are met. Bruno has held a number of executive positions during his career, notably with Quebecor Media where he was president of Canoe Inc. for almost seven years and concurrently vice president of Interactive Media for three years. By that time he had already made his reputation in the industry as co-founder and president of Jobboom in 2000, an initiative that demonstrated his uncommon flair and keen business sense. Many consider Bruno’s career to be marked by success. He was named Personality of the Month in April 2006 by the Fédération de l'informatique du Québec and ambassador of the Science Faculty of Sherbrooke University in 2007. But it is his management of many successful websites, including Star Academy, Canoe.ca and RéseauContact.com, as well as those recently launched at TC Media, such as JobGo.ca, AutoGo.ca and the mobile payment app for Stationnement de Montréal, P$ Mobile Service, that show the true scope of his abilities.

  6. Anna Martini Anna Martini, FPCA, FCA President, Groupe Dynamite One of the leading figures in the Canadian retail landscape, Anna Martini has been President of Groupe Dynamite since 2004. Since her arrival, the company, whose Head Office is located in Montreal, has grown exponentially, tripling its sales figure over the past seven years. A steadfast business woman with forward-thinking leadership, Ms. Martini distinguishes herself through her authenticity, generosity, candid personality and tenacity. These merits enabled the expansion of Groupe Dynamite, in both the North American and International markets; the company now operates more than 280 stores in over 10 countries. Prior to joining Groupe Dynamite, Anna was a partner at Deloitte & Touche., a professional services firm; for close to 20 years at the firm, she served many clients in the retail and consumer product sectors. Her passion for retail surfaced early in her career and led her to leadership roles in that sector both in Canada and globally. In 2010, Anna received the title of Fellow from the Ordre des Comptables Agréés du Québec. During that same year, she also received the Award of Distinction from the John Molson School of Business and was named Personality of the year in the category of business by La Presse. In 2005, she was one of the honoured guests as part of Châtelaine's breakfast-series honouring Influential Women. She was also a finalist in the 2007 Women of Distinction awarded by the YWCA, the Young Women's Christian Association. That same year, Anna was honoured during the Gala du Commerce which, in partnership with the HEC Montreal, pays tribute to daring entrepreneurs and business people. Ms. Martini is on the Board of Directors for Velan Inc. and Transcontinental Inc., is a member of the Board and Treasurer for the Retail Council of Canada, is on the Board of the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation and is a member of the Montreal chapter of the International Women’s' Forum.

  7. François Descarie François Descarie President, Substance Stratégies François is a specialist who is well-versed in consumer behavior. He has done presentations, taken part in radio and television shows, taught in educational institutions and shared his knowledge by writing columns and articles for 25 years. He continues to advance the science of marketing via his blog (substance-strategies.com). He is driven by curiosity and interested in every aspect of the psychological and social dimensions of consumption. He has analyzed every imaginable target group, from children to tourists and from gay consumers to notaries. François has great interest in both the process and results of creativity. He has been involved in many projects that require a creative approach: developing new products, finding new business names, creating packaging, and designing advertising and communications campaigns. He is an avid social networker, having embraced the new technology from the very beginning of the Web (he was one of the first to put an email address on his business card in the 80s!). Today, he continues to explore every form of technology and communications through his firm Substance stratégies, which he launched in 2011.
