  1. Implementation Update Docklands Community Forum 26 February 2014

  2. PV lead Harbour Esplanade – Wharf • Demolition works commenced on Wharf Deck 8 North • The demolition works for the four decks are scheduled to be complete in mid 2014. • A community engagement process to commence in early April 2014

  3. PV lead Glass House (temporary activation) • Handover to Seven Seeds at end of February 14 • Open to the public in early March 14

  4. PV lead Western Park - Community & Sporting Facility • Planning application submitted – mid December 2013 • Concept design refinement – ongoing • 2 x Community Information Sessions – held early December 2013 • Stage 1 construction works are expected to commence in mid 2014

  5. CoM lead Docklands Park Improvement Works • Lend Lease through their development agreement with Places Victoria have funding available for improvement works to Docklands Park • The works will concentrate around the Collins & Bourke St interfaces with the park • The City of Melbourne are working with Lend Lease and Places Victoria on a program of works to be delivered including; • Removing the existing chain fence along Collins St and replace with tiered seating to lower level • Improved entry points from Collins and Bourke St • New decking at the corner of Collins St and Navigation Dr • New trees, landscaping and seating • Fixing pathways and better access to upper levels

  6. CoM lead Docklands Park Improvement Works

  7. Joint Project Community Boating Hub / Family Services • Application for planning permit has been lodged • Early works (to prepare the site for construction) are expected to commence in March 2014 • The Community Boating Hub (ground floor) will be home to: the Docklands Yacht Club, the Victorian Dragon Boat Association and the Melbourne Outrigger Canoe Club • The Family Services Centre (first floor) will include: • - four consulting rooms; • - playgroup room; • - outdoor play space; • - group program room; and • - multi-purpose space (120 people)

  8. CoM Lead Library at the Dock • Construction is progressing well • Key staff to work in the new facility have been engaged • Internal fit out is scheduled for mid March (dependant on building construction completion) • Opening of the Library and community centre is expected in late May 2014.

  9. CoM Lead Dock Square and Playspace • Park and playspace construction is progressing well. • Opening of the park is scheduled to occur with the Library at the Dock.

  10. CoM lead Community Garden Shelter • Construction completed. • Minor works on the awning still to be finalised

  11. CoM lead Southern Entry / Jim Stynes Bridge • Construction of the bridge has progressed well • Completion is still anticipated mid 2014 at this stage

  12. Joint Project Place of Worship Other DCPP Projects Docklands School Docklands Spaces Contract negotiations are ongoing. Announcement anticipated in early 2014. PV continues to explore a range of public and private school options within Docklands. Ongoing. New spaces and events coming shortly. www.docklandsspaces.org
