  1. The Ancient Greek Olympics By Luke Wilson

  2. The First Olympics • The first ever Olympic Games were held at Olympia, in 776BC, in honour of the Greek God Zeus.

  3. Prizes And Winners • If You Won an event at the Olympics your name your family’s name and the city you came from would be shouted by an announcer that is usually of great importance. If you won an event your prizes will be presented to you on the last day of the Olympics. The prizes were usually an olive crown cut from the Greek’s Sacred plant, and a statue of them displayed in their honour in Olympia.

  4. Competitors Competitors had to be male to compete in the Olympics no females were allowed Woman weren’t even allowed to watch the games. That is also one reason why the competitors were naked so women could not enter the games it was also so that the men could move more freely. They trained in a gymnasium which is where the word came from, it actually means to exercise naked.
