  1. PORTFOLIO DAY! To minimize my stress, please follow these instructions very carefully. If you have a personal problem, see me after class. Please, do not call my name or ask me any questions that you can find the answer to. • Grab your manila portfolio. Put all old items from last semester/last year in your green portfolio. Do not remove your green portfolio from the file cabinet; leave it where it is and bring manila to your desk. • Arrange the portfolios in order by period (if you have a zero period, that goes first). R.O.P. classes don’t count. • If you have English pieces that you’d like me to sign, place those in the front (in the order listed on the top of the purple sheet). Not officially due today though. • When done, pass forward to the front of the row.

  2. WORLD LITERATUREAPRIL 11, 2012 No warm-up. Instead, partner up (in groups of 2-3) and read until page 891 of Faust aloud. (Everyone should be in a group reading; deal with it.) Pause after each page (or every other page) to fill in more of the purple sheet. The last few pages will be done on your own.

  3. REMINDERS • Homework: Finish class work worksheet. • Meet in library tomorrow for computer research. • Bring flashcards, handout from Friday & essay packet. • If you do not have a portfolio yet: • Bring it to me by the end of period 5 for full credit still. • If you can’t get it to me by then, you have a one-week grace period to get it signed. I will sign it but you won’t get points for having it here “on time.” • If turning in portfolios late, please make sure to actually BRING ME YOUR FOLDER so I can sign you off (don’t drop it in your folder and leave, as I will not sign it off) • If you are missing more than one portfolio piece from any subject, your portfolio will not be graded and you will lose 15% of your grade in my class.

  4. STANDARDS Reading 3.7: Relate literary works to themes and issues of the area.

  5. FAUST Let’s continue to read Faust by Wolfgang von Goethe.

  6. FAUST Finish worksheet!
