  1. Factor Which Influence Growth Rate of Plant AbiRafdi Adhiet Yogi U AnggaDwi K M.Ferdy W XII SCIENCE 5

  2. We are Proudly Present The Influence of Light Intensity in the Growth of Vignaangularis

  3. Aim • To Understand the Growth Rate of Vignaangularisin dark and bright place

  4. Base Theory • Growth is the process of accretion good measure of volume, mass, number of cells and protoplasm that is irreversible or can not be the same again, which can measure frequency on plant stems, leaf width, root length, stem diameter.

  5. Internal Factor , including genetic and hormonal factors that exist in these organisms. External factors include several other factors such as: -Nutrition -Light -Temperature and humidity- soil pH-and others

  6. Hypothesis • Vignaangularis which is located in a place with no light can grow better than Vignaangularis which is located In bright place

  7. Apparatus and Materials • Apparatus: Materials: • 1.Mineral Water Cup 1. 5 Vignaangularis • 2.Cotton 0,5 grams seeds • 3.Water • 4.Scale

  8. Procedure • 1. Submerged Vignaangularis seeds in 24 hours. • 2. Put the cotton into the bottom of the mineral water cup. • 3. put 5 Vignaangularis seeds into the mineral water cup. • 4. pour some water to the water cup. • 5. Put the mineral water cup on a dark place and bright place. • 6. After three days, observe the growth . • 7. Measure the length of the branch and root which formed (in cm) with the help of thread and ruler

  9. The Result • after three days the result is: • In Dark Place:Vignaangularis 1:not yet grow Vignaangularis 2:grow 1,5 cm Vignaangularis 3:not yet grow • In Bright Place:Vignaangularis 1:not yet grow Vignaangularis 2:not yet grow Vignaangularis 3:not yet grow

  10. Experiment Analysis • From this experiment we concluded that the plants in the state that lack of light grown faster because of the humidity level is maintained by the presence of water and also because of the auxin hormone that causes plants to grow faster when there is less light in place, while if there is light plants will grow in the direction away from the light. Also we all know that, the plants at night or less light grow faster or more actively considering the moisture content in the plant body higher than it was during the day.because that desert vegetation have shorts leaves. On the other hand plants in the jungle / rain forest have a high height and broad leaves

  11. Literature Study • Many factors affect the growth of peanut especially red beans among which are the genetic factors for internal and external factors consisting of light, humidity, temperature, water and hormones. For the germination process is influenced by light and hormonal factors, although other factors also affected. According to the literature germination is influenced by the hormone auxin, if doing germination in the dark place it will grow faster but crooked, it is because the hormone auxin is very sensitive to light, if the growth was uneven. Whereas in a place that germination will occur relatively longer, it also caused the effect of hormone auxin equally active when exposed to light. Thus in plants, which produce normal or stretched straight upwards (Soerga, 2009).

  12. Light affects germination in three ways, namely with the intensity (quantity) of light, light quality (wavelength) and fotoperiodity (day period) (Elisha, 2006).
