A Quarter of Computer Science Engineering by: Megan Lee T Overview of Computer Science Engineering 3 This class is meant to teach the basics and beyond of computer technology. From the parts of the computer to the programs, much essential skills are covered and taught Scratch Microsoft Office’s new version of Excel can be confusing but possess far more features that the old one. We did many activities utilizing the new program creating data maps, charts, and spreadsheets Excel Scratch is an innovative program that we have used to create games and programs using commands that we place in the appropriate order. We have made a writing sprite, ball catching game, pong game, and a tic tac toe game using this program. Microsoft Windows Powerpoint 2007 along with Excel is packed full of new, innovative and confusing features. CSE has helped students learn the techniques such as creating a brochure, slideshows, and utilizing and formatting data charts. In Lab 8 we did a lab using the program photoshop. The program is simply amazing and versatile allowing the user to do so much with simple photos and manipulate them the way they wish. In our lab we airbrushed a photo of Madonna and created a glacier slideshow. PowerPoint Photoshop
