  4. Filming • Managed by: Leasing & Asset Management • FilmLA – District’s film coordinator vendor • Reports to Leasing & Asset Management • Handles all requests for filming or filming related activity • Parking • Catering • Photography • All requests must be handled through Film LA

  6. Joint Use Agreements • Co-managed by: • Leasing & Asset Management • School Planning & Design Department • Joint use is: • the use of a school after hours by a non-District partner. • Examples: • Governmental agencies • Sports organizations • Private entity

Access Permits/Other • Managed by: Leasing & Asset Management • Requests by third parties or by the District • Various real estate transactions requiring an agreement to document the transaction and/or monitor compliance. • Examples • A neighbor requests access onto the school to trim his trees or to fix an adjacent wall • School requires access onto a neighbor’s property for school construction

  11. License/Lease Agreements • Managed by: Leasing & Asset Management • 2 types of License/Lease Agreements • District as Landlord/Licensor • District as Tenant/Licensee

License/Lease Agreements (contd.) • District as Landlord/Licensor • Requests for use of District property by third parties • Short term - use for 30 days or less • Parking for birthday parties, dance recitals, theatrical performances, booster club or PTA fund raisers • Long term basis - use for over 30 days • Beyond the Bell programs, church services, sports training

License/Lease Agreements (contd.) • Transactions fall into two categories • Regular rental rates • Rental rates charged pursuant to a rental rate schedule approved by the Board • “Cost incurred” requests • Waiver of regular rental fees (and often all costs) • “Benefit” to the school • Appropriate custodial hours being allocated

Civic Center Permits • Managed by: Civic Center Permit Office • California Education Code and the LAUSD Board of Education require that: • Each and every public school facility be made available as a civic center to members of the community and non-profit community organization for: • supervised recreational activities • meetings and public discussions • during designated hours when regular school activities are not disrupted
