Provides relationships between genes, proteins, chemical compounds, and diseases in the scientific literature and other data sources • PubGene, Inc. was established in Boston, USA with a subsidiary in Oslo, Norway in 2001 based upon research done at the Norwegian Radium Hospital and NTNU • Important clients include Pfizer & Pharmacia, Novartis, Mayo Clinic, Beckman Coulter, Karolinska Institute, Tokyo Medical University • So far, focused product development, first customers, core team, first distributors (Mitsui Knowledge Industry in Japan), initial financing
