  2. What are Implementation Drivers? Implementation Drivers are the key components of CAPACITY that enable the success of innovations in practice. They assure development of; • relevant competencies, • necessary organization supports, • engaged leadership

Implementation Drivers – 3 Categories Definitions There are 3 categories of Implementation Drivers: 1) Competency Drivers – are mechanisms to develop, improve and sustain one’s ability to implement an intervention as intended in order to benefit children, families and communities. 2) Organization Drivers – are mechanisms to create and sustain hospitable organizational and system environments for effective services. 3) Leadership Driver – focuses on providing the right leadership strategies for the types of leadership challenges. These leadership challenges often emerge as part of the change management process needed to make decisions, provide guidance, and support organization functioning.

  6. Coaching Purpose • Enhance the implementation fidelity of Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) • Establish capacity for efficient and sustainable implementation of MTSS • Impact student outcomes in meaningful ways

Defining Coaching • Systems Level Coaching: • Enhance the skills of individuals within a group/team around their collective practices for implementing and managing an MTSS framework • Focus on establishing effective systems to support the work of the practices within the MTSS framework • Practice Level Coaching: • Enhance the skills of the individual performer (teacher, principal) around MTSS practices for fidelity and effectiveness

Training Purpose • Provide knowledge related to the history, theory, philosophy, and values of the program, • Introduce the components and rationales of key practices, and • Provide opportunities to practice new skills to criterion and receive feedback in a safe and supportive training environment.

  10. Defining Training • Innovation-based training helps practitioners (and others) learn when, where, how, and with whom to use (and not to use) new approaches and new skills. • Provide ample opportunities for demonstrations of evidence-based practice-related skills • Offer opportunities for behavior rehearsal to criterion • Utilize pre-post tests of knowledge and skill.
