Energetic Components and Systems • Projects/activities • Primary conferences supported: JPC and ASM • AIAA-S-113-2005: Criteria for Explosive Systems and Devices on Space and Launch Vehicles • Funded by Air Force to replace obsoleted MIL-STDs • Committee established from government, contractors, suppliers, retirees, and universities • Imposed in AF contracts and at contractors/suppliers • First revision currently in work • Dr Karl Rink has an educational program on energetics and the possible types of work/applications presented at public schools to generate interest in the field
