  4. Your Strategic Social Presence! What is your Social Narrative? How do you want your prospects to see you?

  5. Not a good idea.

  6. Keep it on Facebook and Keep your prospects out!

  7. Think “Social Selling” • Clean-up your social presence (Google yourself) • Build your searchable presence • Leverage your strengths • Show you are multi-dimensional, but be careful • Believe in what your selling and talk about • Educate your prospect with relevant content

  8. LinkedIn Tips Put yourself in the shoes of the alumni/friend/prospect who is receiving your call. After the call they are going to go on Google or LinkedIn to see who you are! Knowing this….what do you want them to see? • Your background information • Volunteer experience and causes • Projects—what have your worked on lately • Skills • Education Groups are great, but don’t go crazy with recommendations. You never know how people are connected. What if you write a recommendation for someone on LinkedIn and the person you’re trying to cultivate had a terrible interaction with that individual!! Personally—I think less is more when it comes to social media. You should be in control of your own narrative. Once you post something in a social media channel it is out of your control – FOREVER!
