Cloud Helps Schools Get Needed Tools without Big Investments in Infrastructure MINI-CASE STUDY “Deploying Cloud Campus on Microsoft Azure in the PaaS model allowed us to access learning institutions that we would not have been able to offer solutions on-premises, due to the large investment required for infrastructure.” – Felipe Rangel, CEO, IntegraSoft • SITUATION • IntegraSoft had success installing its Cloud Campus on-premises. But some potential clients with limited budgets needed a solution that avoided infrastructure investments. ADDITIONAL LINKS: www.cloudcampus.com.mx Read about other Microsoft Azure ISVs • SOLUTION • IntegraSoft chose Microsoft Azure, and migrated its on-premises Cloud Campus application (developed on a J2EE platform under a struts framework using SQL Server 2008 R2 as a database manager, integrating the database to the application through stored procedures) to the PaaS service in just two days because of the portability characteristics that Microsoft Azures offers. • BENEFITS • Because Microsoft Azure’s infrastructure offers security, stability, and trust without a big investment, IntegraSoft was able to reach a new market: small institutions. • IntegraSoft has cut deployment and scalability times on Cloud Campus, and reduced maintenance costs, thanks to Microsoft Azure.
