  2. Natural Resources Natural Resources are any resources that come from the earth without man. Earth provides us with these materials. Natural Resources have both NON-RENEWABLE and RENEWABLE resources.

  3. Non-Renewable • Non-Renewable resources are resources that are Natural resources which comes from the earth, but if they are used too often and is not used smart/ wasted, then these resources will run out. • For example, oil. This is a natural resource. It comes out of the earth, but also, if us humans use it all, it will not just re-grow like plants, there will be none left. • We have to be scarce with these resources because sooner or later, we will not have these things like oil, coal, and minerals.

  4. Renewable • Renewable resources are Natural Resources that we can depend on. These resources will not die out. They do not run out as easily. What I mean by that is, even though they may be, renewable, they can still run out. • Like trees. Trees will grow on and on. But, if lumber jacks keep on chopping down faster and faster, the trees wont have enough time to grow, and eventually it will run out. • And even though water might be renewable, if we keep up this polluting rate, there wont be clean water left.

  5. Why use Renewable? • We as a group advise you to use the earth’s Renewable resources more than Non-renewable because the Renewable resources will keep on being provided to us by the earth, while Non-renewable resources such as oil and fossil fuel, will not. They will not be here forever, so we have to be scarce. • Air. Air can never run out. It is a Renewable resource. But air can get polluted. But air is not only for breathing. Air can be used as a source of energy by using windmills. • Sun. The sun was here for about 5 billion years. And it probably will stay like that for a long time. But we can se the sun other than heat and light. Scientist have discovered a energy saving way to use the sun. Solar disks can get the sun’s energy instead of electricity. • FluresantLightbulbs.

  6. RECYCLE! • If every person in TYWLS of Astoria will just recycle one piece of recyclable piece a day, we can make a difference. Every ounce counts. • MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
