  3. Definitions: Prepositions used: On, With Adverbs used: Actively, Closely Synonyms: Join Forces Cooperate 1. Work with someone to achieve something/ in order to produce something 2. Work secretly to help enemy/ cooperate with one’s enemy. 3. Work together interdependently to achieve common or shared goals.

Norms/Expectations for Today… • Everyone has a unique perspective & expertise – contribute it! • Define terms and acronyms • If you don’t know something, ask! • Disagree, productively, not personally • Venting + Possible Solution = OKAY • Be open minded to new ideas • Think broadly about strategies, stakeholders & accountability • Put it in the ‘Shed’, ‘Bike Rack’, ‘Barn’, ‘Gondola’, - we’ll visit it later. • Stay concerned more with the content than the process • Write things down! Meet new people! Share, Borrow, Request, Connect. • Remember we are here for the students – they come to us to be guided/educated, in the end it is they who educate/guide and inspire us!

What is Career Guidance? • A Component of a Comprehensive School Counseling Program. • Provides permission for relevancy in the classroom and community. • Exposure to options • A reality check • Effective service that assist students in creating meaningful directions and organize their plans of study around personally valued goals.

R2: What factors (7) predict GPA and credit accrual for 8th , 9-10th , 11-12th grade students? R3: What factors predict vocational identity in 8 – 12 grade? R4: What are the grade level and demographic (gender, ethnicity) differences in the ICAP related variables?
