Headquarters: • Road SP 340 Campinas - Mogi Mirim, km 118,5 CEP 13086 902 – Campinas, São Paulo – Brazil • Offices in Brazil: • Campinas, São Paulo • Rio de Janeiro • Brasília • World Basis Representantives: • North America: USA and Canada • Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Perú, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Caribbean and Central America • Europe, Middle East, Africa and in Asia Sales Offices

  6. Profile • Top technology based on National R&D • Padtec has been originated from the CPqD Foundation laboratories taking more than 25 years of experience in optical communications development • Padtec is the first and unique Brazilian manufacturer of DWDM/ CWDM optical network platforms systems • Core Business: component, equipment and systems for the optical communication layer

  7. Main Features • High Competition: providing cost-effective solutions to the Telecom, Utilities, Cable TV and many others markets • Strong background on optics and networking systems • Top technology products which trully allow high performance networks • Steady investment in quality improvement • Continuous investment in R&D: making top technologies and innovative solutions applicable to the market

  8. Shareholders CPqD Foundation is one of the most recognized R&D and IT center in the world, counting with about 1300 high-qualified employers in constant achievement of the state-of-the-art technology (www.cpqd.com.br) IdeiasNet is a holding specialized in high-tech IT companies. It offers shares into Bovespa (“IDNT3”), the Brazilian Stock Market, and is a institution enabling long term investments required by IT development in Brazil (www.ideiasnet.com.br).

  9. Cost-Effective Solutions and Aggressive prices • Prompt feedback on technical and commercial tasks • Focus on Customer´s “Core Business” • Customized Solutions to any of your applications • Local Support in many countries • Great Financing Capacity, up to 18 months payment • Immediate attendance and after-sales 24 x 7 Customer Support • Very short delivery schedules Market Positioning

  10. International Exhibition Shows Futurecom Expocomm Telexpo

  11. Quality Program Padtec is committed with the state-of-the-art quality standards, with the full satisfaction of its clients and shareholders and with the constant enhancement on all its internal procedures, as well always helping and preserving the environment around.

  12. Padtec and the University Community Seeking for the interaction and partnership with Universities and Research Centers, Padtec currently finance P.H.D. programs in Physics in the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and keeps technology program improvement and sponsor relationship with other universities and national R&D centers

  13. Steady Sustaining on behalf of the “Mata Atlântica” Native Forestry • Selective and recyclable materials in use

  14. Padtec´s Product Lines: • Passive Optical Products • Active Optical Products • xWDM System: The Metropad Platform

  15. Passive Optical Products: • They are totally optic or passive and have the following characteristics below: • Low cost and plug and play use • Does not requires power supply or management • Transparent or compatible with any transmission rate and protocol • High reliability – does not need spare unit • There is not optical-electrical conversion inside • The Padtec´s passive products are listed below: • Duplex • Quadruplex • OADM – Optical Add and Drop Multiplex

  16. Active Optical Products: • They basically require optical-electrical conversion inside their modules. These products are designed to assure high reliability and flexible capabilities to the optical networks. • Characteristics: • AC or DC power supply • Dry contact reles for fail management • The active optical products of Padtec are: • Multimode-singlemode converters • Optical-electrical STM-1 converters • Media converters • Transponder of optical wavelength • Transponder quadruplex • Optical protection system • Optical amplifier family

  17. Metropad Platform: xWDM Systems • xWDM Systems allow the transmission of multiples • optical signals based on a couple of fibers. • CWDM: Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing – up to 16 optical signals • DWDM: Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing – up to 80 optical signals • Metropad Platform: it supports both CWDM and DWDM technologies as well their common integrated management system

  18. DWDM Technology • High density system uses the minimum spacement between optical channels (usually 100 GHz), is able to support up to 80 channels of 10 Gbps each into the Metropad Platform • High transmission capacity per channel (10 Gbps) • Sophisticated and high reliability components, it requires wavelength circuit controlling • Commercial transmission: C and L bands enable optical amplification • Metropolitan, Access and long haul backbones applications of all topologies

  19. CWDM Technology • Its based on low-cost components and low-density WDM (up to 16 optical channels) • 20 nm of spacement between channels (1310 to 1610 nm) • Low cost and high reliability optical components • It does not requires wavelength circuit controlling • Metropolitan and Access Applications
