  1. Madisonville Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Statement of Desired Outcomes for Segment One of the Eastern Corridor

Community Advisory Committee • Desired Outcomes: • (The following list represents the desired outcomes of the CAC at this time.) • Achieve efficient traffic flow at safe speeds for pedestrians. • Maintain and improve access to businesses in and surrounding segment one.  • Improved pedestrian and bike safety. • Create connections to surrounding and future bike trails. • Improved climate for economic development within segment one. • Improve access of residential community and physical connections to Madisonville  Business District.

Community Advisory Committee • Desired Outcomes: • (The following list represents the desired outcomes of the CAC at this time.) • Connect existing developments to each-other and the community. •  Develop and preserve as much green space as possible. • Explore opening/expanding surrounding roadways currently closed. • Implementation of an economic impact study of the project on current and future development. • A final design appropriate for an urban and residential community. • A final design that increases the safety of school age children crossing the roads. 

  4. Community Advisory Committee Makeup: The CAC is made up of residents,interested parties, community councils, businesses and property owners whose boundaries segment one of the Eastern Corridor Project fall within.  The CAC is a open affiliation of these key stakeholders who have a vested interest in the design and construction of segment one of the Eastern Corridor project.  

  5. Community Advisory Committee Goal: The goal of the CAC is to collaborate on a design that benefits the communities, businesses and future development of segment one while meeting the needs of the current and future traffic demands. To this end, the CAC seeks a real voice in the design and development of segment one of the Eastern Corridor Project.

  6. Community Advisory Committee Role: The role of the CAC is to establish common desired outcomes among it's members.  To coordinate with ODOT and the appropriate  governmental departments so that the common goals of the CAC can be incorporate into the design of segment one of the Eastern Corridor Project.
