The music player has been around for a very long time. There have been many changes to it and some changes allow music players to do so much more then just play music. Also the music player has not just changed but the music did too to fit the music player.

The First Music Player

The first music player was created by Thomas Edison in 1877. The name of the devise was the phonograph and it was the first devise to successfully play and record sounds. The background is a picture of the phonograph

the gramophone
The Gramophone

The gramophone was invented by Emile Berliner in 1887. The modifications done to the phonograph were taking away the cylinder and using records. Records were first made out of glass, then zinc, the finally plastic. The background picture is a picture of the gramophone.
