  2. Summer Feeding Program NACS Foodservice Department Why Summer Food is So Important During NSLP the USDA provides free or reduced price lunches to 22million. During summer break only 3 million participate. North Adams Community Schools Average Daily Attendance SY 2012-2013 2093 meals/day

National School Lunch Program Summer Food Service Program NACS Foodservice Department SFSP is a federally funded program that reimburses organizations that prepare and serve meals during the summer. Potential Food Sites Include: Schools Churches Parks Recreation Centers Playgrounds Camps Lodges/Clubs These summer food sites are safe and familiar locations where children naturally gather during the summer.

Summer Feeding Program NACS Foodservice Department Building a Stronger Community Builds Cooperation Partnering with local community groups by providing meals for organizations either opening their facilities or offering activities or programs for children Highly collaborative Promotes Nutritious Meals to ALL children within Adams County Provides employment opportunities Provides Safe and familiar locations where children naturally gather during the summer.
