  1. How Gifted and Talented / Challenge Club at FCGSe provide challenge for the more able at FCGS? Wave 1: All classroom teachers embed strategies to support, stretch and challenge able learners in their classroom. Teachers supported through toolboxes/INSET. Students also have Challenge Me cards to request extra support and challenge in lessons. Key stage 4 Key stage 4 – Wave 2 Key stage 3 - Wave 2 Universities programme Universities programme Y8: Half termly assembly Passport MENSA sessions Brilliant Club. Y7: Half termly assembly Passport Critical Thinking sessions. Y9: Half termly assembly Passport MENSA sessions Brilliant Club. Year 10: Half termly assembly Brilliant Club Spire Hub. Year 11: Half termly assembly A/A* Friday skill sessions– Subject specific A/A* classes. Plus external / extracurricular / links with universities / independent schools. Oxbridge programme. Oxbridge programme Plus extra curricular /external opportunities. Includes - Y9 Latymer STEM school on Saturdays Y7 Oxford University online critical thinking programme Y8 UCL Scholars Saturday programme. Wave 3: All G+T students have a 1:1 mentor who reviews their academic performance with them and sets challenging academic and enrichment targets.
