  2. Position Offer Once School Recruitment has completed the review of the ‘Selection Report’ the Recommended Applicant will be moved by School Recruitment to the ‘Position Offer’ Step. Click on ‘Position Offer’ to progress to the next step of the merit selection process. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 1

  3. Position Offer • In the step ‘Position Offer’, the Hiring Manager /Hiring Manager Assistant moves the recommended and approved applicant from ‘Select Step Outcome’ to either: • ‘Accepted’ • OR • ‘Declined’. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 2

  4. Position Offer Select the Recommended Applicant to move him/her to the next status. After the candidate has been selected, click on the green arrow to move him/her to the ‘Accepted’ status. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 3

  5. Position Offer You will then be provided with a grey pop-up box to complete the candidate you have chosen. Check the ‘New Status’ is correct. You can send the Position Offer correspondence to the candidate through this module by ticking this box. Refer module 11 on how to generate this correspondence The anticipated Entry on Duty (EOD) date to be provided by the Hiring Manager. Select ‘Save and Close’ when you are finished. These boxes MUST be ticked. The system will return you will then be returned to the ‘Position Offer’ Step screen. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 4

  6. Position Offer Check the recommended applicant has been moved to the ‘Accepted’ status. Once confirmed, select the double tick. The applicant will now move to the ‘Offer’ step. NSW DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND COMMUNITIES WWW.DEC.NSW.GOV.AU 5

  8. Position Offer School Recruitment now has the responsibility of finalising the merit selection process. You are now able to send correspondence to all the candidates by using the ‘More Actions’ tab.
