  2. Current Status of the Project 1. Pre-study of nano sumo robots 2. Choosing the components 3. Design of the robot 4. Strategy and programming 5. Assembly of the robot

  3. 1. Pre-study of nano sumo robots • Goal: Get a basic idea of what is a nano sumo robot, how does it work, possible designs, components, working modes and strategies. • Amount of work: During the two first weeks. 100% DONE

  4. 2. Choosing the components • Goal: Look for the different components, compare each other, decide which are the best ones and why and order them. • Deadline: 5 – 10 – 2010 100% DONE

  5. 3. Design the robot • Goal: Know how to build the robot, the structure and how to assembly. • Deadline: 11 – 10 – 2010 • Actual status: Design of the first prototype done. We are now assembling this prototype so we can test different strategies and working principles in order to study subsystems functionality and improve the robot. 50% DONE

  6. 4. Strategy and programming • Goal: Thinking about the combat strategy we are going to take and write a first program for the microprocessor. • Deadline: 25 – 10 – 2010 • Actual Status: We have discussed about different strategies and we have chosen the best to implement in the prototype. Now we are programming the microprocessor to implement the strategy. 30% DONE

  7. 5. Assembly the robot • Goal: Assembly the components of the robot according to the design, programming and assembly the microprocessor. • Deadline: 22 – 11 – 2010 • New deadline: 17 – 11 – 2010 • Actual Status: We have already started to assembly the subsystems of the robot and we also have the 3D CAD design. 20% DONE

  8. Conclusion • Complications: • Team management problems • Unfamiliar environment • Solution • Working hard • Better communication • Better time planning and spliting work
