    2. Tests Next Week---6th 7th & 8th We will provide snacks for our students on days they take tests. To avoid nasty messes, we will not provide water other than a trip to the fountain. Test takers need to bring a #2 pencil, a book and a positive, can-do attitude!

    3. The tests are only 4 hours long and we will have class in the afternoon. Please, no… pajamas pillows candy drinks Do bring a #2 pencil, a book and a positive, can-do attitude!

    4. No, we will not have Homework Lab next week. No, we will not have After School Detention next week.

    6. April: National Autism Awareness Month Each individual with autism is unique. Many of those on the autism spectrum have exceptional abilities in visual skills, music and academic skills. Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are characterized by social-interaction difficulties, communication challenges and a tendency to engage in repetitive behaviors.

    7. April: National Autism Awareness Month Many persons with autism have similar difficulty seeing things from another person's perspective. Autism now affects 1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys

    13. Do You Have Any Old Cell Phones? Drop off in office April 18 – May 18 They will go to Hope Line Hope Line is a charity that takes used phones and gives them to women that have been victims of domestic violence.

    14. CELL PHONES During the Day… ? …if your cell phone is ON, please turn it OFF at this time and leave it turned off until after school. Thank you!

    15. UPDATE….. …if your cell phone is confiscated today, you will not get it back until after the weekend! Thank you!

    16. Cell Phones… do not use during school If a phone is confiscated… 1st time---Parent can pick up the phone during Cell Phone Retrieval Time 2nd time---Parent can pick up the phone during Cell Phone Retrieval Time for $15 fee 3rd time---Phone will be held until June ~CONTINUED~

    17. Cell Phone… For starters, do not use it during school!!! Approved Cell Phone Retrieval Times Parents may pick up cell phones: 8:30 to 9:00 am 3:30 to 4:00 pm Or by appointment (594-2800) This will help parents avoid the frustration that develops when an administrator is not available to return the phone during the school day.

    18. Please make sure that headphones, cell phones, iPods, etc. are properly put away during school. They should not be seen once the school day begins. Thank you For making this problem go away!

    19. KLMS Boys Intramural Soccer 3:35-4:30 Every Friday unless otherwise stated. You must have your paperwork on file in order to participate.

    20. KLMS Running Club! Every Friday at 7:00 AM All grades welcome! You must have a physical on file with Coach Gregory (rm. 321).

    26. About the Dress Code…

    30. Lunch Line “C” Please remember that in order to purchase items from Line “C”, students must have cash or money on their account. Free/Reduced lunch privileges do not apply to Lunch Line “C”. This is for all of PISD students, not just KLMS.

    31. After School Expectations… Students who are not staying need to leave the campus when school is out. Please do not visit with your friends in front of the school Please make arrangements to leave by 3:45 (bus, walk, car) “Hanging Out” with friends should not happen on campus Please do not wait in front for the BB games to begin Please go home when your work at school is finished!

    32. ATTENTION ALL 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS!!! PLEASE REMEMBER TO REPORT TO THE GYM IN THE MORNING AGAIN TOMORROW. YOU WILL BE DISMISSED AT 8:25 AM TO REPORT TO YOUR TESTING LOCATIONS.
