CG 12 CPX Overview • Host and Lead Nation: Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTARF) • Full Participating Nations: Thailand, United States, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia • A Japan Self Defense Force unit conducting humanitarian assistance operations is adjacent to the MNF Area of Operations: it is not part of the MNF • Indonesia allowed to be part of MNF but can only conduct combat support-type missions • Numerous, worldwide participants, 15 countries (MPAT nations) • THA, SGP, IDN, ROK, MYS, USA, AUS, ITA, FRA, CAN, BGD, NPL, PHL, KHM, KUH • CPX Dates: 7-18 Feb 2011 • Support from: UN OCHA, ICRC, USAID, WFP, III MEF TECG • CG 12: Execute the plan developed in CG 11 and refined during the IPC and FPC

  5. CG 12 CPX Exercise Objectives • Conduct UN-Mandated MNF peace enforcement operations • Build teamwork and improve multinational interoperability and regional cooperation

UN-Authorized Multinational Force • National contributions to MNF: • THA: Ground / Naval / Air / SOF • SGP: Ground / Naval / Air • MYS: Ground / Naval / Air • KOR: Ground / Naval • USA: Ground / Naval / Air / SOF • IDN: Combat Service Support • KUH: Ground / Naval / Air / SOF • All MNF nations will contribute officers to MNF Planning Group • JSDF Liaison Team will be IVO MNF HQ and consist of: • Liaison Officers to MNF • Planners to develop JSDF redeployment • MNF HQ location in Pacifica is at discretion of MNF CDR • MNF Ops limited to areas occupied by ARC forces and limited targets within ARC territory
