  2. Search for books using call numbers. A Call Number is another name for the address for the book. It tells us where to find the book on the shelves in the library. Call numbershave 2 parts: The first part is called the city. The second part is called the street.

Library Procedures for Checkout • Search for a book on the computer using Destiny • Look to see if the book is available • Write down the title and both parts of the call number on a check out form (city and street) • Look for your book on the shelves in the proper “city” • If you can’t find the book on the shelf ask the librarian for help
