Assessment • The module is worth 2 ECTS credits out of an annual total of 60 ECTS. • The assessment will be graded in two ways: • using a 0-20 scale, where 10 is the pass mark • using the ECTS A-F scale, where F is a fail • Assessment: (within communicating science) 15 minute presentation to your peers about Eutrophication in your countryAND • Option 1: a press release and pamphlet • Option 2: a poster and pamphlet • Option 3: abstract to conference and posteror oral presentation • Submission is electronic (via email). anewton@ualg.pt date to be arranged. • A copy should also be sent to the secretary (mestradosfct@ualg.pt)

The aim is to provide an understanding of the alterations in the nutrient cycles of aquatic ecosystems within a societal and global • After completing this module you should be able to: Assess the causes and consequences of eutrophication in an aquatic ecosystem and communicate this to stakeholders
