  1. Book Week Roald Dahl Monday 3rd – Friday 7th March 2014 Watch in amazement as the library transforms into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory! (If you’d like to help please see Miss Clenshaw!) Readathon – Mrs Johnson is organising this sponsored event for charity Bring and Buy Book Sale Mrs Turley and Mrs Mac will be running a sale all week –please bring in any books to sell from Friday 28th February. Monday 3rd March – An invitation! Please come to school for a special afternoon to help out with a carousel of activities. The children will be in groups completing different Roald Dahl themed tasks. There will be an opportunity to ‘Adopt a Book’ for the library (more info to follow) and tea and coffee will be on offer after school. Competitions… • Roald Dahl Bookmark Competition • Readathon Sponsored Read • Please have all entries in by Thursday 6th March to be in with a chance of winning! Wednesday 5th March A storyteller will be coming to visit the school for our Roald Dahl theme too! Thursday 6th March (World Book Day) Author Visit Ali Sparkes will be giving a presentation to the whole school and officially opening the library at 11am, followed by a book signing for interested pupils! Friday 7th March Dress-Up Day Roald Dahl Theme Come to school dressed up as a character from a Roald Dahl story! Drop Everything And Read. Bring your favourite book with you today; when the bell rings, stop what you’re doing and read! Celebration assembly – winners announced of the Roald Dahl Bookmark competition and the Readathon sponsored read.
